I recently listened to a podcast titled, Desmond Tutu: The Laughing Prophet of Peace which explored the extraordinary life of the Archbishop. Growing up in South Africa, I always knew who Desmond Tutu was as his joyful face was often in newspapers or on the TV but I unfortunately only truly learned the depth of his story after he had passed away. Feeling deeply moved by his legacy, I was inspired to illustrate his portrait.
